Privacy and Cookie Information for the "NEXT DOOR Platform"

Simplified disclosure

This information refers to the overall management of the data processed by the “Next Door platform”. The Platform consists of an information and management site - www.nextdoorplatform.com - and an application downloadable through the online App stores – “Next Door”.

The purpose of the privacy policy is to provide maximum transparency regarding the information that the Platform collects and the ways in which it uses it. In compliance with the European legislation on privacy - European Regulation GDPR n. 679/2016 - and the Portuguese legislation adapted accordingly, the Platform respects and protects the confidentiality and security of the personal data of visitors and users, and registered users, making every possible and proportionate effort not to harm the rights of individuals.

The main purpose of the Platform is the display of existing services for subjects (older people) in their neighborhoods, based on the map and the location. Within this purpose, users (organisations) will create an account on the Platform and will be able to upload information about them and their services.

The Platform does not publish advertisements, does not use data for the purpose of sending advertising, but does use third-party services in order to improve their use. Such third parties may collect user data and then use it to send personalized advertisements on other sites. However, this site makes every effort to protect the privacy of users and minimize the collection of personal data.

The Platform also uses social plugins to simplify the sharing of articles on social networks. These plugins are configured so that they send cookies (and therefore possibly collect data) only if the user clicks on the specific link of the social network (plugin).

For information purposes, it is specified that the management of cookies is articulated, both by the site manager (who may not be able to manage third-party cookies correctly) and by the user (who may block cookies essential for the functioning of the site). So, a better and simpler way to protect privacy is to use anti-tracking tools, which then block the tracking by sites (read ->  Protect online privacy . We recommend using Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin).

For more information, you can read the complete information below.
